评分赛芝维克自己的理论文本风格晦涩,不太好读,而且她是个多产的作家,作品之间的互文性又很强,对她的理解依赖于对她作品以及她所援引的大量理论及文本的熟悉。这本书的对象应该是undergraduate students, 用第一人称写,风格亲切,语句流畅清晰,观点非常明确,而且有同时代其他学者对赛芝维克的批评和商榷。就一般程度的了解来说,读她的一两本原著,然后借这本书全面认识一下她的思路,是很好的。
