Pablo Neruda, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, finished writing The Captain's Verses in 1952 while in exile on the island of Capri-the paradisal setting for the blockbuster film Il Postino (The Postman). Neruda在Italy匿名出版的情詩集。果然是當代史上最會哄女人投懷送抱的詩人。而且他求偶功力登峰造極時，正是他開始發胖到簡直跟美國驚悚電影巨擎Hitchcock判若雙胞胎的時候。可見流亡海外的日子三餐無虞啊。食色性也。吃得好穿得暖才有閒情雅緻。
