断断续续读了三个月…太好的一本书是舍不得读完的……

热情、天才和勤奋是与众不同人群的特质，但生活的时代也很重要。时势造英雄，如果遇到一个机遇和挑战并存的时代，但是你年纪尚轻无法意识到它的重要性，或者年纪过大面临太多生活压力，则会错失施展才华的机会。还有父母竭尽全力地教育，鼓励他们挑战权威，表达自我。坚持做什么比说什么重要。

读的爱不释手，很受启发。作者的核心观点是成功不仅是个人的，还包括机会的垂青，机会可能是时代赋予的，可能是家庭培养的，也可能是自己通过1万小时的努力获得的。最感触的是家庭对孩子的影响，中产家庭会尽最大可能培养孩子的视野、社交和其他能力，从而不断积累优势，让他们获得更多机会同时也能把握机会。因此，有些天才因为家庭原因而陨落，就格外令人痛心了。有两点觉得不太认同：第一是作者认为亚洲学生数学能力好是源于先辈水稻种植的勤奋观念，但我觉得可能是因为数学能力可以通过不断训练提高，而之所以需要不断训练主要是在于亚洲人多，竞争压力太大，因此才勤奋。第二是作者认为大韩航空飞机此前失事太多是因为他们遵从权威的文化影响，这种联系感觉比较模糊，不是那么紧密，说理力不强。制度原因相比于文化原因在解释力上感觉更具体。
