本來重點是看monasticism，結果完全被autographical elements所吸引。這個時代的人們已經習慣瞭嘲笑七八十年代的傻年輕們，但即便再“傻”，寒風刺骨的氣候，一無所有的土地，紀律嚴格的苦修，這些嚴酷的條件早就可以讓那些自認為“理性”人們麵目無光。從這點上看，我發自內心地尊敬Dreyfus先生。中國早年的藏學傢們也大多在極寒的高原和樸素的寺廟裏常年學習工作——法尊法師、劉立韆、黃明信等等。如今再也沒有人會放棄現代大學的教育，花十五年去考一個藏傳佛教的學位。但是，我們離傳統多遠，傳統就會離我們有多遠。我記得範教授曾說，“如果不去踐行，everything就隻是一個story”。讀多瞭那些純粹基於bca' yig研究的著作，真的有story之感。這部著作則無比鮮活。
