被名字砸暈的作品……重點看Origen（這是當然）也看瞭看Eusebius……第一章非常漂亮，Porphyry、Philodemus、Origen的圖書館，考證論說都十分紮實，硬貨滿滿，果然不是Grafton寫的（不是黑）……第二章技術性強比較枯燥，圖書史、Biblical Philology和Origen研究者之外的人恐怕難讀；第三、四章不愧Grafton風格，技術性趣味性俱佳，書籍史和政治史以及宗教的融閤在Eusebius和Costantino上充分展現。結論落在Caesarea上略顯保守，可能是Williams的謹慎風格吧……值得移譯，不過我可是沒這能力

隻看瞭Origen部分。前麵講瞭新柏拉圖主義哲學傢，如Ammonius, Plotinus, Porphyry、他們的哲學傾嚮和著述偏好，點齣Origen和當時哲學傳統關係。接下去是六種經文和參的文本來源、重建、佐證，可以作為不錯的參考書。用得著Eusebius的時候再看後邊的。

When early Christians began to study the Bible, and to write their own history and that of the Jews whom they claimed to supersede, they used scholarly methods invented by the librarians and literary critics of Hellenistic Alexandria. But Origen and Eusebius, two scholars of late Roman Caesarea, produced new kinds of books, in which parallel columns made possible critical comparisons previously unenvisioned.
