This book is about the way otherness can be suppressed by dominant meanings. The purpose of the book is to focus on organizational consequences of processes of sense making and assigning meanings to diversity in sport organizations. There is a dominant European perspective on sense making of diversity and a more American approach. The conclusion is that scholars and researchers who work in the area of diversity need to pay attention to both ways of looking at diversity.
