Children face many challenges and stresses, but children with learning disabilities face overwhelming challenges inside and outside the classroom. Dyslexic children endure not only the self-torment of believing they are stupid and useless, but the bewilderment of doing their very best and failing still. They feel isolated from everyone-their families who do not understand them and their peers who ridicule and label them.
