心疼每一個人

對Bernard的塑造在主人物裏所占篇幅最少卻十分立體，不僅僅是racism的化身，他既可憐又可厭的復雜性完全勝過Gilbert和Hortense扁平無趣之轉型。PTSD夢的描寫十分齣彩。然而列維的重點大概也不在人物塑造。作者本人的影子太重，她也沒能做到以更加旁觀和跳脫的角度審視曆史（卻選用瞭插敘的時間綫），隻是還繞在那個邏輯裏，用充滿既定審判的情緒講述故事。主題當然很正，讀起來有點柴瞭。

英國文學課的必讀書目，很有意思的多視角的故事。語言詼諧而有力，喜歡。
