Two military technicians manning a remote radar site at a lake east of Hudson's Bay, stumble across the wreck of a United States Air Force, B52 bomber. The aircraft is nuclear equipped. After one of the airmen is killed, the other decides to blackmail the American Government for twenty million dollars in return for disclosing the plane's location. He recruits a small group of ex military officers and men who successfully evade the F.B.I., C.I.A., and R.C.M.P. until the intriguing conclusion.
