A very good introduction to discrete group theory, Lie groups, Lie algebras, and their representation. There are some typos, which yet does not influence the reading. Many examples are discussed before abstract theory is introduced. Several advanced topics such as super Lie algebras are also included, though not in detail.

Applications of group theory to the classification of elementary particles are treated in detail.
