评分前半本正本清源，很好的曆史讀本。穆罕默德在麥地那所展望的改革，遜尼和什葉的分歧，理性主義與傳統主義的神學爭論，生動而清晰。最後說起現代伊斯蘭世界諸國的意識形態分歧，認為當今世界爭論本質是伊斯蘭世界的爭執，西方隻是旁觀者。Aslan眼中的先知教誨的本質正是多元主義，是民主的根基。
