Toni Morrison takes the skin off the glorious 50s when everyone has an American dream, and unfolds the often-ignored historic events in front of us - one is the Korean War, another the overwhelming anti-Communism wave, and also the underground medical experiments tested on helpless people. The character, especially Frank, is very well rendered!

最后有点没看懂

应该是她的小说里最好读的一本了吧，没有不断变化的叙述者，没有碎片化叙事，几乎不给读者设置障碍，但确实不是最好的Morrison,太平铺直叙了。

美国著名女作家。1931年生于俄亥俄州，曾在兰登书屋担任高级编辑，后赴普林斯顿大学等校任教。代表作有《最蓝的眼睛》《所罗门之歌》《宠儿》《爵士乐》《爱》《恩惠》等，曾获普利策小说奖、美国书评家协会奖、美国国家图书奖等多项大奖。1993年荣获诺贝尔文学奖。
