大言不慚地說自己看過瞭嘻嘻????雖然隻把主要講解和重點詩看過瞭。 這本是教科書，確實得有老師教，詩後的問題更多是引導性問題而沒有參考，最重要的是附錄的metrics部分。 雖然是新批評代錶作，看著看著感覺不對勁瞭。似乎此書更強調experience基礎上的close reading以便真正的understanding，但這種更高的experience其實建基於讀者的人生經曆上。 A poem is, in this sense, an image of our life process-and in being that, an enlightening image of ourselves.

新批評派認為'A poem must not mean/ But be' 即強調詩歌本身的價值，迴歸它的文本與結構。兩位作者均為該流派代錶人物，用文本細讀法對幾百首詩歌進行解讀，提齣的問題非常細，多關注image（意象）, metaphor（隱喻）, symbol（象徵）。附錄處理格律等技術性問題。美國文學係的教科書。要是附參考答案就好瞭。
