相當有實驗性，和他先前的作品迥然不同。荒誕的情節使得角色陌生化、非人化，無法用現實的邏輯理解。讀的過程中多次感嘆：當小說不斷地違反現實社會的邏輯，這樣的文字又如何讓人找到意義呢！最後讀完最深刻的感受是他居然鬍說八道瞭這麼一大本書……

整個小說的架構是相當開拓性的，在盜夢空間之前的九十年代，不拍成電影真是有點可惜。但是，你也可以說沒有什麼比聽彆人說夢話更無聊的瞭。
