揚•哈羅德•布魯範德（Jan Harold Brunvand）
美國著名民俗學專傢，猶他大學榮休教授，曾任美國民俗學會（AFS）主席、《美國民俗學刊》主編。他的代錶作《美國民俗學概論》受到學界的重視和好評。
布魯範德涉獵的領域相當廣泛，但影響最大的是他在都市傳說方麵所做的具有開創性的搜集和研究工作。他陸續齣版瞭多部都市傳說的研究專著，被稱為“都市傳說先生”“民間偵探”，被認為是“對20 世紀傳媒影響最大的傳奇學者”。
