有些地方翻译的不是特别明白建议参考R. J. Hollingdale的译本。本来只是课程的reading，但是里面一些观点对个人还挺有帮助的： to define your existence a posteriori and flourish in the attempt to live unhistorically

纯爷们儿写出来的东西，果然powerful，逻辑，文采，力道，样样服人。什么黑格尔马克思的，都颤抖去吧！

题目我翻译为“史之用与史之弊”。课上犯困。讲到monumental, antiquarian, critical三种史观，分别是从三种心理（？）得来。美国同学问“为什么生命要preserve”。我想起了中国传统文化中比比皆是的例子，却不知道如何回答。我想成为历史学者，这近似第三种史观；其中一个原因是我记忆与记录的本能，这又近似于第一种史观；中国传统有很多第二种史观的东西，因其历史悠久也有第一种史观。尼采持一种进步的观点，如果原地踏步等于没有在生活，而三种历史观都是为真正的生活服务，三种过量都要不得。
