比爾·布萊森 Bill Bryson，當今英語世界非常多産且“最能逗樂”的遊記作傢之一，詼諧嘲謔的風格堪稱一絕。作品包括旅遊類隨筆、科普著作等，其中《萬物簡史》《布萊森英語簡史》《“小不列顛”劄記》《一腳踩進小美國》銷量逾百萬冊，一直雄踞《紐約時報》《泰晤士報》暢銷書榜。 2004年，《萬物簡史》獲得英國皇傢學會安萬特奬。
