俄狄浦斯是人类中的伟人，是承担起命运重轭的人。是他自己一步步揭开自己的身份谜底，是他选择了自由和命运而胜过命运的诅咒。诗歌体如泣如诉，放声读来纸上字句如幽灵复活，似奥德赛中讲述故事的亡灵，太动人，声泪俱下，阅读过程中有读《圣经》的相似感。不愧是人类悲剧史上最美的一颗明珠。
评分因为自己的英文水平，一直对读戏剧有抵触，没想到如此易读。1957年的舞台剧也略惊人。

评分中文翻译古希腊戏剧让对白变得啰嗦兼无力，每次读中文版都会将我催眠，让我一度以为古希腊戏剧是我不喜欢的文学类型；英文版真是畅快淋漓，合唱的气势磅礴，“No man happy while he waits to see his last day”让我重新爱上古希腊戏剧！
