G・希尔贝克(Gunnar Skirbekk)1937年出生，当代北欧最重要的哲学家之一。从1958年的《虚无主义?》到2002年的《现代性的实践学》，希尔贝克教授已经用挪威语、德语、英语和法语出版十多本著作。希尔贝克教授20世纪60年代曾担任著名哲学家赫尔伯特・马尔库塞的助教，现担任挪威卑尔根大学哲学教授、挪威科学院院士、德国柏林大学和中国华东师范大学的客座教授。N・伊耶(Nils Gilje)出生于1947年，现任挪威卑尔根大学教授、人文学院副院长。

这本书，是大学时候就从一个朋友那接触了的，当时还是一本，然后一拿到手就立刻放不下了。 相对于罗素、撒穆尔、梯利而言这位挪威的哥们明显没那么出名。但是他的书又是最亲近读者的一本。 不是为了枯燥的让人吞不下去的精湛的学术、不是为了让自己的思想找寻一个自由发散的道...

没有看过罗素的那本或是其他类的哲学史，作为一个首次看这类史书的人来说，挪威的两位作家的这本书相当的具有可读性。语言十分清晰明朗，推荐有兴趣的人读读。
