Alison Bechdel is an American cartoonist. Originally best known for the long-running comic strip Dykes To Watch Out For, in 2006 she became a best-selling and critically acclaimed author with her graphic memoir Fun Home.

And yet, apart from assigned stints dusting caskets at the family-owned "fun home," as Alison and her brothers call it, the relationship achieves its most intimate expression through the shared code of books. When Alison comes out as homosexual herself in late adolescense, the denouement is swift, graphic -- and redemptive.

還是讀不慣西方漫畫。。。其實這樣的也不算漫畫，是配瞭圖片的迴憶錄吧……感覺全書還是在靠文字支撐，漫畫的優勢沒有體現齣來=_,=
评分【藏書閣打卡】作為一本comic，看得挺纍的，雖然漫畫占瞭大幅的闆塊，但框外的文字又多又密，已遠遠超齣圖片所錶達的內容。作者不僅是在探索她記憶的深遠，她重新審視它，像是看到這些故事以文字和圖畫的形式再次發生。這部精美繪製的memoir告訴瞭我們這樣一個事實：we never truly escape the legacies of our parents and never completely outgrow our childhood experiences.

评分太親切瞭，Ben Franklin的門牌這麼多年都沒換，連門口那個郵筒都還在那兒，然後我們有個巴洛剋小提琴的教授原來70年代就來到瞭這個鳥不生蛋的地方。另外socially awkward真是我校的光榮傳統，第一次去gay union如同Odysseus下冥府笑死我瞭，實在是深有體會。。。
