如果说为什么新加坡会让大陆一次次的失望，从这本李光耀的回忆录可稍微见些端倪，首先呢，新加坡人就是新加坡人，虽然大多数人口的第二性是华人，但他们的国籍仍是新加坡人，这些人从19世纪中期开始，生活的不容易，为了生存而考虑，观点当然不同，所以不是新加坡人让我们失望了，而是我们期望太高了

因为对亚洲各国的当代史不熟悉，况且印象中的记忆本身就是被某种原因特地的扭曲过，这本书要一边看，一边查WIKI的各国和首脑介绍，看得真费劲。了解新加坡，附带还要了解亚洲，算是读此书的另一收获吧
