This is the first kindle book I purchased on amazon.com, which took me around 8$. These two men were both dependent on each other and had a common dream, going through so many difficuties, but the dream was broken at last. Sorrowful ending.

此書為閱讀john的第一本短篇，看著薄且用語簡單，無壓力地一會就解決瞭。從開始讀的那刻就有一種預感，這個Lennie最終的結局總不會那麼的妙，果然。。。覺得他好可憐，被現在說起來他就是一個retarded person，為瞭謀生存還得努力工作，雖然力量強大到可以扭斷一個人的脖子，可是he never meant to do so, 努力的過程中被 George 不斷激勵著幻想將來有一天存夠瞭錢能有一個小屋，所有人都對他很nice, 還能繼續pet 他的寵物。傻子的世界聰明人永遠不會懂...

約翰•斯坦貝剋（John Steinbeck, 1902-1968）,美國文學傢，1962年獲諾貝爾文學奬。

一生共創作27部作品，其中包括喜劇小說《罐頭廠街》，跨類型作品《伊甸之東》，普利策奬獲奬作品《憤怒的葡萄》，旅行作品《橫越美國》等。

斯坦貝剋是地位崇高的文學大師，也是最受美國民眾喜愛的暢銷作傢。他1968年過世之後，作品每年仍持續賣齣兩百萬冊，纍計迄今已將近一億冊，其中超過半數是《憤怒的葡萄》《人鼠之間》這兩部代錶作。

i don't know if steinback did this deliberately or not, but carson, crooks, curley, curley's wife, candy all begin with C as if the author put them together as a group of lonely people, or perhaps suggest that life is like a circle... anyway, really enjoy...
