The author is pretty good at knowing his readers; and he do want to conquer the readers mind. To this end, the narrative is meticulously honed. That's dangerous. We may lose our vigilance for evaluating arguments; and agree with him, forgetting what we learned in our education: being critical to what seems to be critical.

和作者2008年那篇the disadvantage of elite education相比，这本没有那么sharp，拖拖拉拉了好几个礼拜才读完，中间溜出去读了几本其他的书。有一些思考的地方，但是没啥特别的。
