ELIZABETH STROUT is the author of several novels, including: Abide with Me, a national bestseller and BookSense pick, and Amy and Isabelle, which won the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction and the Chicago Tribune Heartland Prize, and was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize in England. In 2009 she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her book Olive Kitteridge. Her short stories have been published in a number of magazines, including The New Yorker. She teaches at the Master of Fine Arts program at Queens University of Charlotte.

結構有些太鬆散瞭。因為情感太豐富太細膩所以顯得有些婆婆媽媽的，講的也都是些傢長裏短的故事，主綫當然是一個敏感的女人跟她那強勢冷硬的母親之間的情感互動。有些自傳性質。人太敏感容易受傷哦親～
评分看完先去仔細瞭解瞭下作者私生活，結果發現並不像書中文學老師說的那樣，“作傢一輩子隻能寫一個故事”。全程代入Allison Janney，最後一次去看母親那段看哭。結局太飄，感覺想到哪兒就寫哪兒。全程一直在想《Tony & Susan》，但其實沒什麼明顯聯係。
评分如果不是路程長，把有聲書一次聽完瞭，大約就永遠翻不完的一本小說。沒有很強的情節性，隻是細膩的情感，大約對我而言還是太過女性化瞭……
