完全可以用石黑一雄的一部小說名來概括這本書: When We Were Orphans。書前頭有勒·剋萊齊奧做的序，已經總結的很好瞭: Of all Modiano's novels, this is at once the clearest, the purest, and the most complex. 喜歡莫迪亞諾的話，不能錯過的一本。奇怪為什麼沒有中譯本。
