中规中矩，比较系统的介绍了totalitarianism和authoritarianism的发展，几个表格很清晰的展现了脉络和特点比较。每一章节用研究问题组织行文，很通俗易懂，想在大面上覆盖非民主政体研究的主要议题。缺点就是缺乏深入性，对非民主政体个案的介绍也都比较二手，常识性知识比较多。谈共性的研究很容易简单化，因为共性本来就比较少。年代有点久。总体还是入门好教材。
