我在看日文版的。。。很意外这本书没有中文译本。就是我和kudo说的，rule大家都知道，怎么和自己的东西结合才是大问题！kudo说，减少点距离感也是好的。。。。

这本再次唤起我对Lubbert深深仰慕之情的著作啊，time真是个神奇的dimension，我想我会继续研究下去。之前写过一篇paper，对这个问题做过初步（浅显）的讨论，接下来会在ICASS会议上发表，继续修改润色中~（最近移动硬盘坏了，没时间长春悲秋，好好加油吧少女！）

此书建立在政治经济学和制度演化理论深刻反思的基础上，日后必要重读。与自己现在想法类似的是，批评现存制度分析和理性理论太过注重功能描述和行为者动机，忽视社会文化框范，制度中各个博弈节点之间的相互联系，以及制度在时间源流中演变的路径，解释的是制度功能，而非制度起源或维持。

He is the author of numerous books, including Dismantling the Welfare State? which won the Gladys Kammerer Award in 1995 from the American Political Science Association for the best book on American national politics and policy.
