历史还是很燃的！最开始在纪录片She is beautiful when she is angry中看到这个故事，后来偶尔在podcast里听到一个原成员的访谈，说在当下pro life还是pro right吵得不可开交的时候，有必要回顾下以前的女性们做了些什么，为什么做。不过看书印象更深的一个事情是，Jane和第二次女权主义浪潮中很多组织一样，有意去中心化，去hierarchy，要每个人都是完全平等的，但在组织的实际发展中强硬领袖冉冉升起是那么自然而然的一件事。。。

A former member of "Jane", Laura Kaplan draws on her personal recollections and interviews with other "Jane" members and clients, and the doctors who performed the abortions, providing a detailed history of this radical group. Weaving together the voices and memories of her former co-workers, Kaplan recounts how the group initially focused on counselling women and helping them find reliable, reasonably-priced doctors. Her account of this remarkable story recaptures the political idealism of the early 1970s.
