布莱恩·费根，剑桥大学考古学和人类学博士，世界知名考古学家，曾任加州大学圣巴巴拉分校人类学系教授。他于1997年被美国考古学会授予“公共教育贡献奖”。已出版专著20余本，其中《世界史前史》《小冰河时代》《圣婴与文明兴衰：洪水、饥馑与帝王》《法老王朝》《漫长的夏天：气候如何改变人类文明》等已被译成中文出版，深受读者喜爱。
