Nationalism in practice。“社会”和现代的建构。广州晚清至国民革命前的历史。有点城市建设的内容，但偏重商人协会资本家、工人这两个阶级作为“现代”的表征，以及他们和政治精英的关系，联合和冲突。几次大罢工和广州商团事变，KMT作为当时的革命党怎么样倒向工人作为“社会”整体的设想，而怎样因为征税与商人发生激烈冲突。|| 我经常暗自羡慕历史学家能够在不同层次和方向和事情上灵活征引闪转，有时又不免埋怨理论只是一个把各种事情塞进叙述的框而已，太松散了。。。

广州的地方史，经过西方现代性、大卫哈维的空间理论与福柯的治理理论的点化，确是有不少启发性，但也正因囿于理论，又常有削足适履之感，20世纪前三十年的广州仅用现代/非现代二元论的眼光来分析是否合适？想起加拿大某晚清历史著作大用福柯而被痛批的故事来了……不过参考文献的确使我受益匪浅

「社會」和現代的建構.寫的不錯,寫到國家與商人與工人之間關係與態度之轉變.不過這些「人」的故事還不夠完整啊都是為了套進理論框架啊..準備入坑跟他對話吧
