現代數學是有一條主綫的：圍繞著莫爾斯理論-阿蒂亞指標定理，witten的物理化和Grothendieck的代數化，代數幾何與現代物理就這樣開始瞭。本書總體講解瞭量子場論和低維拓撲的關係：Witten：四維流形關於楊米爾斯場Donaldson理論和Floer有關看做3+1維拓撲量子場論；瓊斯多項式看做2+1維量子場論；把緊流形上的Dirac算子的指標定理解釋成loop空間上的形式正則泛函積分Atiyah-Singer指標定理其實是道路空間上的一個簡單積分公式。

這書讀起來好不舒服，每個主題也隻有七八頁紙，很多東西都隻是簡單點一下。。之所以看完全是因為是Atiyah的書。。
