Kenneth Trachtenberg, the witty and eccentric narrator of More Die ofHeartbreak, has left his native Paris for the Midwest. He has come to benear his beloved uncle, the world-renowned botanist Benn Crader, self-described plant visionary. While his studies take him around the world, Benn, a restless spirit, has not been able to satisfy his longings after his first marriage and lives from affair to affair and from bliss to breakdown. Imagining that a settled existence will end his anguish, Benn ties the knot again, opening the door to a flood of new torments. 评分在书里读到了日本、南极和Larkin，瞬间觉得分外亲切。一个学术权威和生活白痴的感情悲剧，现代社会和文明的误区。
评分读完之后觉得很悲凉，舅舅有点儿可怜，也可恨。两个完全不同世界的人，不同的背景价值观，还是不要在一起，不要给自己出难题了。（叹气）
