Most of us would agree that there’s a clear—and even obvious—connection between the things we believe and the way we behave. But what if our actions are driven not by our conscious values and beliefs but by hidden motivations we’re not even aware of?

Initially, it occurs to me this is a journalist's version of Thinking, Fast and Slow. Indeed, it turns out to be that way. However, it is presented in a more accessible way to a non-psychologist that inspires me to think in depth about things happening to me and stories I've read that I've taken for granted for why they have happened that way.
