字字珠璣，前後呼應妙得令人發指，讀完又火速從頭看瞭一遍。非常蒼涼無助，又有一絲惡童式的任性和溫情，夢幻又真實。老去的牙齒脫落滿口是血的西部沙漠，麵貌平庸卻陌生無比的小小城鎮，在德州的黑夜裏茫然追逐的兩個牛仔，被需要被希望作為根但並不無限應允的母親，悲哀的既是憧憬也是負擔的父親，殊途同歸。內心空蕩蕩又需要證實自身存在的兩兄弟，彆扭地存在著共同點和對彼此的關心，他們羨慕又恐懼著對方錶麵的特質和生活，兩人幾經角力和融閤，像是西部片裏那樣粗狂又巧妙地鬥智鬥勇，輪番占據優勢，但又無法享受勝利。大概這世上已經沒有甜水鎮瞭，又到處都是甜水鎮的化身，無處尋覓的同時也無處可逃，沙漠或者阿拉斯加都不行。true west隻在電影裏，和執拗的兄弟對峙時的剪影中。那是所有劇本都無法框住和染指的，漂泊無依的夢境。
