來奧剋蘭藉閱完成的第一本書，今年看完的第一本是18年哈佛買的發條橙。這個詩集很薄，裝潢不起眼，書頁微微泛黃，但也許因為呼嘯山莊，所以在茫茫書海中看到她的名字就取瞭下來。公交上、房間地闆上、床的一角，用兩天的閑暇翻完。一些主題比較重復，讀完最大的感受——她也太愛用dreary和gloomy之類的詞瞭，導緻有點審美疲勞。但是還是有一些很驚艷的，明天或者過幾天抄下來，日後有心情上網看看彆人的分析。Jan 23 '21

找荒原無果, 卻巧遇瞭Emily Brontë--是一本附著她的詩選的呼嘯山莊. 靜坐於一隅, 邊看邊抄邊慨嘆. 嘆的是果然黑暗, 黑暗而又有力. 讀罷掩捲, 我疑心她還是嚮往光明的, 沒有原因. 再找找, 有幾首是幾首.
