评分Hofstede父子是跨文化研究界的大佬无疑了。本书是第三版扩充版,基本跨文化研究必引本书。本书揭示了某国家在某价值观上相对水平,通过大样本收集揭示了某些价值观之间的相关关系,例如集体主义和权威距离的正相关。本书第二章和第七章提到了在中国价值调查(CVS)中发现的一个新维度long-term orientation,阐释了儒家文化的独特性。个人认为本书适合作为工具书翻看,不需要精读。此外,世界价值调查(WVS)研究一直在更新数据,详情可见http://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/wvs.jsp
