Most part of the story is contrived from traditional Chinese falktales. This kind of story may be fresh and attractive to western children.

4/2~4/8很多神话故事，如画龙点睛，鲤鱼跃龙门，牛郎织女，Dragon Well tea是指龙井茶吗[哈哈]还有吴刚玉兔月老，儿童文学所以表达都很简单，有些句子感同身受，如："If you make happy those that are near, those that are far will come."虽然Minli最后放弃change her fortune, 但如Chapter45里最后一段所写："Fortune was not a house full of gold and jade, but sth much more. Something she already had and did not need to change." 最珍贵的东西已在我们身边，珍惜当下啊。

把各种我们耳熟能详的民间故事糅杂进故事里，可是总是让我有种出戏的感觉。

可能因为已经读不进童书，可能因为用英文来讲中国古代民间故事终究是少了些韵味，这本纽伯瑞奖获奖图书并没有给我个人带来多少触动。不过，确确实实希望英语世界能有更多关于古代中国故事的图书。

用西方思维讲述中国传统故事。不过作为一个中华土著，自感有点大杂烩.结局美好，出乎我预料，是我老了，缺乏童真了？[疑问]
