先前在RSC看了特别精彩的利用motion capture加动态半透明电子屏构造舞台的制作感觉是抓住了Ariel的既在场又不在场的精髓。这部剧其实非常现代，在殖民扩张的意义上已经预料到了即将到来的理性时代。这部剧一直在揭示一些Marvel背后的机制，来到岛上的意大利人处处惊叹，但岛上的Ariel和Caliban则早早就已经在为Prospero卖命了，它们的劳力奠定了岛上的魔法和Wonder。甚至于P在谈及Caliban的巫婆老母亲时说她能控制月亮把控潮汐（厉害了，是个科学家）而且她能够命令别人为她忙碌（这其实也是P的缩影，同时也是现代管理术）等于说这部剧朝向了一个现代的世界，殖民扩张，资本积累，更加精妙的精神控制术
