Sidney Chambers, the Vicar of Grantchester, is a thirty-two-year-old bachelor. 有很好的設定，牧師相信一切和懷疑一切的對立，涉及瞭目前基督徒中意見有分歧的同性戀、倫理道德角度熱議的安樂死等話題，可是。。實在寫的平淡如水。反而顯得daisy coulam的案件改編功夫不錯～PS我能說我神煩Amanda嗎？

评分原著意料之外的無聊。案件推理毫無波瀾起伏，對話寫得平淡無趣，沒有太亂的感情綫和戰爭陰影專注塑造牧師身份其實更好，但卻總在無關痛癢的地方浪費筆墨。在 Goodreads 上看到有更喜歡劇版的書評說 "James Norton looks like a young Robert Redford"，這大概也是我覺得劇版還沒有那麼糟的原因之一吧。
