全文有點拖遝，對魅影的描寫其實不比歌劇多多少，倒是Raoul變成瞭一個隻會說而不會做的小白臉貴公子…Christine也印象下滑，結局太童話也太心痛。比歌劇充盈的是，得知瞭魅影的前身，以及對地下宮殿的詳細描述。13章和23章最好看。

在豆瓣看到讀者猜想Erik如果有一張英偉絕倫的臉，這個故事會有怎樣的另一麵：Christine大概會徹底忘懷青澀的竹馬，與她的老師兼情人攜手歸隱，做一對夫唱婦隨的神仙眷侶；年輕的子爵熱情褪去後，終會娶到一位門當戶對的名媛淑女。深以為然，也隻好付之一嘆。

卡斯頓·勒鬍（Gaston Leroux, 1868-1927），20世紀初期法國最傑齣的推理小說作傢，在法國有“永恒的記者”之稱。勒鬍畢業後在一傢律師事務所做書記員，業餘創作隨筆和短篇小說。1890年開始投身報業，曾作為特派記者周遊世界各地。1900年開始創作長篇小說。他的小說風格詭異，擅長以不可思議的內容與場景營造恐怖玄異的氣氛，並且在恐怖中淋灕盡緻地錶達人性。他的著作《黃色房間之謎》被稱譽為“不可模仿、不可超越的推理小說傑作”。
