【作者】

馬剋·吐溫，美國著名作傢和演說傢，本名薩繆爾·蘭亨·剋萊門（Samuel Langhorne Clemens）。“馬剋·吐溫”是他的筆名，原是密西西比河水手使用的錶示在航道上所測水的深度的術語。馬剋·吐溫是色盲，他做過印刷所學徒、報童、排字工人、水手、淘金工人、記者等工作。於1910 年4 月21 日因病去世，享年七十五歲，安葬於紐約州艾瑪拉。
