與《女勇士》不同，這部華裔美國人的迴憶錄以中國的男性為主角。每一章節前都有對中國傳統神話故事或經典故事的改寫。能在美國成為暢銷書的原因是可想而知的。

為瞭寫論文費勁韆辛萬苦找到這本書。這本小說曆史價值和學術價值遠遠大於它的藝術性和趣味性~也難怪隻印瞭一版~
