掐頭去尾的看瞭一下，迴應瞭網絡使世界扁平化、去國界、網絡自治等早期的樂觀主義。作者認為由於文化、語言、硬件等原因，網絡仍受到地理，特彆是國界的強烈影響。這一方麵是網絡商業需要迎閤上述有地裏有關的因素，更重要的是主權國傢的強製力一直努力在塑造網絡，控製信息的自由傳播。技術決定論不過是幻想罷瞭，而ebay無需政府的所謂自發秩序完全忽視瞭其信用、商業都依賴政府權力的保障...
