so refined and delicate. It makes me think about the lost time, and people, but how difficult it is to be an artist most of all. Rilke probably has a very different mind from 99% of modern people. He is wise and very much alone. I wonder if a modern artist has to be.

Every word is written for me, directing at me, caressing the loneliest and softest part of my heart, instilling me with courage and confidence in myself and life to come. I feel unbelievably lucky that at this crucial moment of my life, I can hear this man's words, so dear so sincere and so inspiring. It tells more truth than the Bible.

If only there is a six-star option. I just couldn't resist its lyrical approach as if Rilke were writing just to me, as if he could see through me with his eyes. About solitude, growing pain, life and art, soothing yet profound proses that everyone should set his eyes upon. Definitely on my Desert Island booklist!!!
