Jeannette Walls is a writer and journalist.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, she graduated with honors from Barnard College, the women's college affiliated with Columbia University. She published a bestselling memoir, The Glass Castle, in 2005. The book was adapted into a film and released to theaters in August, 2017.

不停地修正自己的观点的书。一会儿觉得特别温情，尤其是父女之间的感情。一会儿又觉得，不，这对父母不可原谅。很多时候做出来的事情远远超出了“不想长大”的范畴，说dysfunctional都算是夸奖了，充满了自以为是、自私和不负责任。好在孩子们自己找到了出路。有一段作者的大学老师质问她凭什么认为有人愿意露宿街头的情节，想起来真讽刺啊。这是一个所谓精英无法理解的世界，感谢作者仍然不忘了写出来留下记录。听的是作者自己朗读的版本，她学她的父亲的口音很生动；父亲每次说出“mountain goat”的时候都能感受到浓浓的亲情。
评分父亲将繁星赠送给女儿的片段令人动容。。可是贫穷并不是一种酷。有时候我们不得不为了更好地活着而去抛弃那些珍贵的品质
