對華裔美國女性這樣的雙重minority在白人男性社會中生存的心理描寫很到位。某些地方的幽默感也非常可愛。整本書很有好萊塢電影即視感。結尾的happy ending有點boring和naive.

上學的時候覺得全是cliche看不下去，工作以後再讀覺得每個委屈都感同身受。可惜現實沒有看到那樣的happy ending

關於訴訟的法律小說多，但是講述非訴的小說很少。講述華裔/少數族裔在非優勢行業裏遇到的玻璃天花闆，很多點都抓得很到位，但是離五星作品還是查瞭那麼一點火候。
