Yiyun Li 的英文散文/回忆录（不确定该如何归类）有着独特的阴郁、清冷的风格。她的叙事如喃喃低语一般，时而带有自我质疑的重复，就像一层薄雾一样散发着某种怅然若失的气息，这是我觉得最特别的一点。

它是一段个人历史。沉重

对这本书是很矛盾的感觉，读的过程中起起伏伏地觉得好或不好。语言自成一种冷冽节制的风格。心碎的片段我们都有。但又太用力了，其实是内在”哲学”的问题。作者很喜欢用一些格言式的句子：不是A，而是B。但这种东西太多了，而背后也没有真正的意义。A和B既不构成对比，也不是完全排斥的。当然这

李翊云的散文比小说更优秀。情感丰沛而内敛，而生命经不起拷问，这真是一本仿佛和朋友聊天的书。作为读者，想说一句“来信收到”。:)她会成为作家，这应该是在她中学时烧掉的日记里就已经打下的命运方向盘。She is a great writer for her nature and emotion, not skills or structure.
