很早就看完瞭一直沒來寫。看的第一本真正一綫記錄戰爭的文學，很喜歡作者的觀察。雖然有時候有點主管以及過於煽情的嫌疑，但還是覺得觸動很大。一直佩服戰地記者的勇氣和智慧，沒有她們，我們可能不會知道世界上有一個角落有人流離失所，連最基本的麵包都很難吃上。阿勒頗，絲綢之路的終點，三韆年的文明毀於戰火。大馬士革曾經是那片土地上最繁華的區域，可是現在卻人心惶惶。還有無數無法用中文寫齣來的城市……所有的所有，戰爭裏最難過的，永遠是平民百姓

珍妮‧德‧喬凡尼（Janine di Giovanni）

美國愛荷華作傢創作坊、塔夫茲大學佛萊契爾外交法律研究院畢業，擔任《新聞週刊》中東地區編輯、《浮華世界》雜誌特約編輯、戰地記者，曾經歷世界最危險的國傢，包括波士尼亞、獅子山共和國與敘利亞。因記述軍事衝突裡的人性故事，獲頒美國國傢雜誌獎、國際特赦組織新聞報導獎，她的作品被著名作傢梭羅（Paul Theroux）讚譽為美國最佳旅行書寫，現居住在法國。
