评分通篇看下来，作者从来没有怀疑过自己心目中那个伟大光荣正确的党。即便她身边的很多囚犯对斯大林的憎恨使得她隐约感觉斯大林是这一切的幕后黑手，她还是在无法完全判断清楚的前提下选择了保持自己的良知。即：只说自己知道的事实，不跟风去攻击别人，不去因为审讯她的人的威胁而胡乱拉无辜的人下水。作者在1937年被开除党籍，但是一直把自己视为communist。没经历过她的生活年代，所以我了解不了为什么她会对一个党有那么深厚的感情。当然，她是斯大林的主要政策（除了自己所经历的大清洗以外）的积极拥护者。
