评分在书店无意看到，因为封面很奇异而买来。只读了第一篇，没读懂第13节。印象深刻的部分有“aura”的观点、把画家和摄影师类比为magician和surgeon、最后的aestheticization of political life。

评分独一性构造原创性。灵光在批量生产中消逝，艺术品欣赏价值被泛化，但人们依旧渴望接近原作，在卢浮宫的人山人海里远远看一眼蒙娜丽莎，说明对灵光的追求确实保存在人类性格里。除了aura这个著名概念，还提到电影如何是一种虚假的赋权，是一种distraction：特写和剪辑是一种无形的强权引导，充满主观性又伪装客观。和巴赞的《电影是什么》一起读很有意思，同样在世界大战导致现代性危机的时代，巴赞从本体论的角度来说电影本质上比其他艺术更贴近客观和现实主义，本雅明从更偏政治和社会的角度担心电影有可能变成法西斯主义的帮凶。这本的封面真是又贴切又可爱。
